I’m waiting for a plane, but it’s reported that the snow blocks air traffic. I don’t know if I should go to the airport, so I call my airline company, but the line is busy all the time. I cannot but go to the airport anyway, just to know if my flight is not cancelled.

I wait and wait in the airport hall, with tens of hundreds of people. I can only see that my flight is delayed, but I still don’t know when I can go. The airport staff can’t give me further information, and there is an endless waiting line in front of my airline counter.

Finally the snow stops and I guess I can leave at last, but this time the volcanic ashes cut the way again. I am so frustrated that I want to take the train, but this time, my airline company assures that the situation gets better and I can leave in no time.  

I try to stay calm and live this experience with a more philosophical eye. After so many struggles, I get at last my boarding pass, but I’m asked to cede my place to a VIP who has priorities on me....

I’m waiting for a plane, but I’m going nowhere. I’ve tried as possible as I can, but there’s just no way to leave.

This destination is not for me. We’ll not be together, even if we never think of forever. Someone is waiting for you way down the desert. You say: “Stay, my friend. My heart is open to you. Please don’t say goodbye for I know you. Forget about the plane, forget about the train.”

My friend, you can count on me, I’ll be back right after the rain.
